Pregnancy Week 11

Bleh, I am rather behind on these pictures, but I am getting them done! This week baby is comparable to a fig. I didn't want to go through the kumquat hassle again for this week, so we just went with a fig newton. Close enough, right?

Pregnancy Week 10

This week baby is supposed to be the size of a kumquat. Uhhh, I barely know what those are! I headed over to Raleys, where they put in a special order of kumquats just for me after hearing about this weekly photo I am taking for this pregnancy. I love Raleys. Now I just need to figure out what to do with the small box of kunquats I have sitting on my counter!

I have been craving chocolate milk these last 2 weeks. Strange, but I'll take it! That isn't too out there!

Pregnancy Week 9

Grapes are something a little more familiar to Josiah, so he was happier helping me take the comparison picture this week.

Pregnancy Week 8

Baby keeps getting bigger! It is up to a kidney bean now. Brother didn't want anything to do with those beans so Mommy had to pose with it.

It's around this time that my cravings always start coming on strong. As with the last pregnancy, In-n-Out burgers and Jamba Juice are two things I could eat every day! Mmmm.

Pregnancy Week 7

Baby is up to a blueberry in size now! I was trying to get big brother to help me show off the blueberry, but he wasn't getting the concept.

Pregnancy Week 6

Baby is the size of lentil this week. That's some big growth in a week's time!

Pregnancy Week 5

I found out I was pregnant this week.

I also decided it would be fun to take pictures of the size of baby as it corresponds to a fruit or veggie every week. Week 5 was a sesame seed.

How small....and yet how much havoc it was already able to wreak on poor Mom's body.

Catching Up

Well, good intentions go out the window with morning sickness. I have just not felt like trying to wrangle my child long enough to get a blog post written in this last month! I don't know how "professional" bloggers can do one every day! That is serious dedication....

However, Josiah is happily sleeping on the floor next to his "bone" (phone) so I will snatch a few minutes and get a post written!

Let's see....Josiah got sick for the second time in a month's time at the beginning of March. He is a strange kid and likes to take is medicine...even while I am in the other room!

And then he cries when he is finished and I put the lid back on. Oh my.

Josh decided we needed to go to Ikea and spend some of our tax return on a new dining room table since the one we were using from my grandparent's house since the beginning of our marriage was very creaky and the chairs were breaking one by one. I spent one of my very morning sickness ridden days putting our new table and chairs together. What a beautiful finished product! Good idea Josh!

Of course, while at Ikea, we were not able to pass up the clearance section which had this discounted couch (we were kind of looking for a new one) and a colorful poang chair (to the right in the picture). Trying to disassemble everything and jam them into my parent's borrowed van was humorous to say the least... :)

If you look closely at the picture above you can see that our VCR/DVD player is just sitting precariously there next to the fire place. That is because I was in the transition between selling our old clunky TV stand (that I bought at a yard sale for $5 and sold for $10. Can't beat that!!) and installing this new shelf that Dad helped me build out of some scrap wood. I love my MacGyver Dad.

Speaking of assembling, I must also mention the other Ikea purchase we made. This is a new dresser for baby #2.

Of course, are you surprised, Josiah was my big helper on this project too!

He needs to get an award this month for being such a big helper! I mean look what this kid does:

Helping Daddy cut wood

Watering plants for Mommy

Sitting next to Mommy while she tackles dishes (one of the things that really makes me gag during the MS stage...)

And the ever-popular, lining up pots while Mommy makes dinner.

What a ham.

Speaking of the ham himself, he is stirring so I better get this published before it's too late!
